Calapiel JJ is a factory specialized in the manufacture of leather belts, with more than 40 years of craftsmanship experience. Our story begins with Octavio, who started making belts at the young age of 9 together with his father in Calaceite, a beautiful town in Spain. This is where the name Calapiel originates from — piel means leather in Spanish and reflects the essence of our craft.
Over the years, Octavio’s ambition, dedication, and high level of professionalism led him to develop his expertise to the point where he decided to establish his own factory, fully dedicated to what he knew best: producing high-quality leather belts.
In 2026, Octavio sold the factory to us, Eugenia and Vaida. However, he continues to work with us on a daily basis, sharing his knowledge and experience as a true mentor from whom we continue to learn the finest traditions of the craft.
